About my journey

A little more about my journey

From childhood afternoons drawing with my granny—learning to shape shadows with a pencil—to experimenting with makeshift watercolors by squeezing Crayola markers and mixing with water, creativity has always been at the heart of my world. Whether selling art at the Main Street Festival in downtown Fort Worth or bringing new ideas to life through digital and physical mediums, I’ve always found joy in both the process of making and the act of sharing.

Now based in Seattle, I am a multidisciplinary artist, community contributor, and problem solver who believes in the power of creativity to connect, heal, and transform. After earning a degree in Computer Science with a focus on Design Strategy and African & African Diaspora Studies from The University of Texas at Austin, I took a leap into the tech world as a software engineer. Yet, over time, I found myself drawn back to the intuitive and limitless world of art, rekindling my passion for hands-on creation while still embracing the problem-solving mindset that shaped my journey.

At my core, I am passionate about empowering others to explore their own paths without limits—connecting people to themselves, their biggest cheerleaders, and the opportunities that propel them forward. Through my work, I seek to cultivate spaces of expression, curiosity, and collaboration that inspire both individual and collective growth.

My artistic practice spans visual arts, movement, and music, but I am most drawn to acrylic, pastel, colored pencil, metal, and ceramics—materials that allow me to experiment, layer, and bring depth to my storytelling. Whether in digital or physical spaces, my work is an invitation: to create boldly, to explore freely, and to embrace the beauty of process.
